Learning about business and entrepreneurship is not the same as being able to actually start and run a business, just like learning about swimming is definitely not the same as being able to swim. In this 3-hour practical boot camp, teens will learn the basics of entrepreneurship and apply those immediately. The boot camp is facilitated by experienced, active entrepreneurs who have started and run their own businesses and are able to transfer that experience in a real and fun manner to kids between the ages of 13-17 years old. The following concepts are covered:
Teens will come away with all the foundational concepts of how to start a business, all it takes is for them to start!
Joseph Ginsberg has been coaching with FutureProof for over 5 years. He is an experienced business consultant and entrepreneur with a deep passion for education and seeing the youth of our country better equipped to tackle the world of work in a meaningful way. Joseph has coached across age groups but is particularly gifted at working with teenagers.
What happens after the Boot Camp?
Once the 3-hour boot camp has been completed, the attendees must demonstrate that they have applied the concepts. They will then be invited to join a mentorship group. These mentees are coached online once a week on a Saturday morning and once a month face to face for 3 hours. They are given access to a group of coaches from the CEO and founders of FutureProof to specialists in marketing, legal, finance and sales. They will also get the opportunity to pitch in competitions such as the FNB Business Innovation Awards, click here to view last year’s participants.
