Who is FutureProof?

FutureProof was founded on a purpose and a desire by the founders, David Wilson and Lisa Illingworth, to make a massive transformative impact on education specifically in the area of entrepreneurial education.

The programs have been executed in all socio-economic environments from the townships of Orange Farm, Diepsloot, Hanover Park and Bredasdorp to St. Katharine’s School for Girls and Buccleuch Montessori.

In 2018 alone, FutureProof educated over 500 children in entrepreneurship.

Lisa Illingworth



Lisa Illingworth is a qualified educator with a post-graduate degree in curriculum design. Lisa curated and wrote the FutureProof curriculum which assimilates the global standards of entrepreneurial education into a structure that equips young people to start a business in a blended economy, and teachers and parents support those activities. She is the CEO of FutureProof and a mother of two daughters.

David Wilson



David Wilson is the CEO and founder of Participate Technologies. Having been exposed to education all his life by having both parents as educators, it was a natural progression to merge the two passions together to form FutureProof. Being a father and a husband has increased the desire to make a significant change in the lives of young entrepreneurs.

S’onqoba Vuba



Previous COO of Sifiso Learning Group and Head of Innovation at FNB, S’onqoba Vuba is an actuarial science graduate from the University of the Witwatersrand turned entrepreneur. She is the founder of Perpetuate and serves as a commissioner on the President’s 4th Industrial Revolution Commission.

The Business Structure

FutureProofSA is a registered PTY LTD with a B-BEEE Level 2 Status, who employ over 40 trained and vetted entrepreneurial coaches around the country to deliver entrepreneurship programs. The company is supported by an advisory board made up of portfolio-specific individuals with industry expertise and to ensure a high standard of governance and best business practice.
