THE EVERYDAY SHERO

So we’ve been celebrating amazing moms this month and I’ve shared some inspirational women’s stories over the past week. Today being the last day of Women’s Month, we’re wrapping up with a few more phenomenal ladies.

Poppy Pops Madela is a mother to a one year old  boy and a wife to a 30 something year old preacher. “Having both these two special men in my life while balancing a career in the television industry, ministry and life in general is a whole lot of work and I do not quite know how I do it. God’s grace, prayer and a lot of coffee help each day seem easier than the next, I guess.”
Poppy is a photographer by passion, a content researcher by profession and she says she would not give up a single second of this amazing journey that is called motherhood. Her advice to to all young mom’s trying their best with what they have is to ‘keep at it, because they’re doing great!”

Kathryn Main, CEO of Mainmultimedia and Money Savvy Kids, is a quirky, determined   visionary. Having worked in media and advertising, it was when Kathryn embarked on motherhood that her project management skills were put to the test. Being a mom to three boys, aged 7, 11 and 15, Kathryn rose to the challenge and yet another great idea was born – Money Savvy Kids. By harnessing all she had learnt over the years, Kathryn saw the importance of ensuring children grow up with sound money savvy skills that can only come from being financially liberate. Kathryn is the author of Raising Money Savvy Kids.

Lisa Illingworth is a qualified teacher turned entrepreneurial educationalist and is the co-founder of FutureproofSA.

With a post-graduate degree in education specialising in curriculum studies from the University of the Witwatersrand, Lisa has written a full curriculum on entrepreneurial studies and this essentially forms the foundation for what Futureproof teaches nationally – to children from the age of 8 years old.

Lisa is a single mother of two girls, Victoria (aged 9) and Megan (aged 6). She is highly creative and has written and published a children’s book on money management. It comes as no surprise that Lisa has the words “World Domination” as her own personal hashtag.
